We are excited to announce the launch of the Little Leaguers Basketball League! The league is designed to provide a safe and fun environment for kids to learn basketball and develop physical literacy and a love for sport. Players will develop sportsmanship, build confidence and make new friends. The basketball season begins January 2018. We can't wait to see you there!

Program Goal The Junior League focuses on the skill development training of four fundamental skills in basketball: passing, shooting, dribbling and conditioning. The overall focus is on the development and the instruction of basketball fundamentals.

Program Goal The Senior League focuses on the skill development training of four fundamental skills in basketball: passing, shooting, dribbling and conditioning while introducing advanced training. The overall focus is on the development and the instruction of basketball fundamentals with sportsmanship and competition elements.

1) What skills do you teach in the skill development sessions?
We focus on the FUNdamentals of basketball including dribbling, passing, shooting and conditioning.

2) Do you play games during the skill development sessions?
The skill development sessions include a 30-minute skill development session followed by a 20-minute game.

3) My child is a beginner, will this be a problem?
Little LEAGUERS accommodate all levels of skill. The program focuses on the FUNdamentals of basketball and encourages participants to practice those skills during game play. 

4) Who will be coaching my son/daughter?
All Little LEAGUERS basketball coaches are NCCP certified coaches with experience in coaching youth basketball. 

5) Are the first 4 weeks of the proram free? Do I need to register?
The first 4 weeks of the Little LEAGUERS basketball program is free of cost (January 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st). Registration for the first 4 weeks is mandatory and on a first come first serve basis. 

6) I registered for the first 4 weeks of the program and I love it! Do I need to register for the remainder of the program?
If you registered for the first 4 weeks of the program only and are looking to extend your child(ren)’s registration, you must register for the 16-week program online. Registration for the full program is on a first come first serve basis. If you register for the first 4 weeks you are not guaranteed a spot in the league. 

7) How long are the games?
Game play includes a 10-minute warm-up, four (4) 10-minute quarters with two (2) minute breaks and a five (5) minute half time.
